Mahsa Halloween Night 2012

Gahhhhhhh creepy not?

Weeeee had a lot fun at Mahsa Halloween Night 2012 last Wednesday! Everyone put so much effort in making this event a success and I guess a separate post is needed to put it into words. Gonna post mostly pictures of me and hubby for now. Kyahaha. I did not know what to dress up as for the night actually. I watched a White Queen (from Alice in Wonderland) make up tutorial the night before and was thinking 'Hey, let's do White Queen make up then. Anne Hathway looks creepily gorgeous in that make up'. Then I wore this black lace dress and a pair of ankle boots and somehow I ended up being the wife from Adam's family. =D

Hubby finally agreed to come to the event. Thanks hubby! I did some light make up for him though it's barely noticeable. Haha.

Adrian transformed himself into one of the zombies from the Walking Dead. Haha. Hubby being horrified.

The team spent so much time doing these props and they look amazing!

Bahhhh! Just me and the props haha. Thanks hubby for helping out.

Me making up as ...?

Can you spot a black cat in this picture? =D

Me and Hubby.

Me and Ms. Ghostly Geisha. She won RM50 for being first runner up in our best dressed award. Congrats!

Me and make up artist of the night, Jac!

Me and one of the Top 10 Best Dressed, Jenice.

 Love this picture of us ♥ ♥  ♥ ♥ ♥

Me with second runner up and Mahsa Chinese Society president, Adrian.

That's all!

Churpout2012

Was at Publika last Friday for the #Churpout2012 bazaar! It was a very happening event with bloggers selling clothes, fun game activities and performances. I played dart games and managed to win a Starbucks free beverage voucher. Yay, gonna belanja hubby his favourite Green Tea Cappuccino with it. Even got a goodies bag from Churp Churp with lots of discount vouchers as well! We arrived reasonably early at 10:50am as we thought the bazaar starts at 11am. As we walked on, we found Foruchizu stall in the middle of the bazaar and to our surprise the stall was already surrounded by a HUGE crowd. Every single minute or so, young girls were asking for pictures with Audrey and Cheesie, included us. Haha.

With Audrey. Audrey's blonde hair is very blonde. Suits her too.

With Chuckei. Chuckei's stall opened at around 12pm. Spotted Nana as well.

Last but not least Cheesie! I look huge standing next to her. @.@

Had lunch at Magenta with Christy, her bf and Hui Ming. It was Magenta's grand opening and 15% discount was given to all dine in customers!

Food that we ordered:

Grilled Escargot. Love Love Escargot with creamy cheesy sauce. You can never go wrong with it.

Beef Cottage Pie.

We also ordered scones, all American Beef Burger, awesome latte and cappuccino. For more pictures and food description, go to http://domokunest.blogspot.com since Hui Ming already blogged about it haha. #lazyblogger

Tuna Steak. Blogged about this previously.

#OOTD. Christy was missing because she came later with her bf.

That's all!

Hokkaido Santouka Ramen @ Pavilion

Hubby and I went dating at Pavilion after our usual gym session at Times Square. Brought him to try the famous Santouka Ramen, watched Dredd and ate pork noodle at Lot 10.

Here are two full body pictures of us after completing our gym session. I did not lose much weight though I can feel that I'm getting fitter physically and my cardiac endurance certainly increases as well. Not only that, I can feel that my skin is getting better and smoother, thanks to the increasing metabolism rate I guess. There are just so many benefits if you committed yourself to exercising regularly and it doesn't matter whether you do it in gym or at home. Say no to sedentary lifestyle! =)

Love my Uniqlo hoodie so much! Thanks hubby!

The hubby. Haha.

I'm sure everyone knows that H&M is the new hype in town. We dropped by just to see the overwhelming crowd in the two-storey shoplot and also the endless queue at the changing room section.

H&M at Lot 10.

We had Santouka Ramen before the movie started. The restaurant was packed with customers as usual. There was no single empty table spotted and always there would be people filling up the empty tables. Santouka Ramen is that popular.

Hubby having a hard time choosing his food.

So I ordered this Soy Sauce Ramen set for him. The set comes with fermented soy bean rice, salad and chawan mushi.

Soy Sauce Ramen.

Fermented soy bean rice.

Shio (Salt flavour) Ramen for me. It was so goooood. Hubby preferred Shio Ramen over Soy Sauce Ramen though. Ooops. Haha. Should have ordered Shio Ramen for him.

Oh and we went to Muji after movie. I bought this B5 size bag for RM5.90 and I get to chop any words or numbers that I like on it because Muji is providing alphabet and number stamps! No additional charge.

My D.I.Y. couple recycle bag. Haha. ♥

Lastly, pork noodle at Lot 10, Hutong for dinner. Reasonably good meal.

Hubby's Military Soup!

You know they say a guy who can cook is attractive. And Hubby became a house-husband last week by cooking Korean Military Soup to reward his girlfriend who is an all-time glutton. Let's see how a guy does his cooking!

Washing and preparing stage.

Ingredients include mushrooms, cheese sausages, fishball...

And spam aka luncheon meat.

Korean red chilli pepper paste for the soup base.

To be honest, I was sitting on the couch comfortably watching Superstar K4 (Korean singing competition reality show) while waiting for my dinner. When Hubby brought the pot to the table, I squeaked in excitement and tasted the soup immediately. It was super yummy and I love luncheon meat!

 On cloud nine face.

Basically Hubby was the chef of the day and I even ordered extra Ramyeon to satisfy my tummy. I love being served like a spoiled girlfriend hahaha.

Next will be Jap Chae (Korean sweet potato noodles) by Hubby! Yay!

Magenta @ Publika

I'm a Hainanese and I always boast about my grandaunt's Hainanese chicken rice which is so authentic and delicious that you can't find it anywhere else. It's difficult to find such nice chicken rice in KL because most of the time either the chicken meat is too dry or the rice is simply not up to standard. My dad even says that the best chicken rice he ever had is the one that my grandaunt cooks and he rarely compliments on food because he is picky like that.

But the good news is, the chicken rice is now available to all food lovers at Magenta which is my grandaunt's family newly opened restaurant at Publika.

Magenta is a family concept restaurant which offers a variety of dishes range from western food, pastries, high tea and of course their famous chicken rice. Rest assured that the food experience they offer is not what you will find at other eatery outlets because the entire restaurant is currently run by the family itself, with my grandaunt cooking the chicken rice every day, my cousin baking the cookies, my aunts and uncles making the coffee and taking care of the kitchen. So you can trust that the quality of food served at Magenta will never disappoint you.

Some of the black and white family photos displayed at Magenta which are few decades old. Customers who dine at Magenta can have a look at these vintage family photos.

First dish, the 'not so ordinary' chicken rice and the best way to eat it is to dip the chicken meat in dark soy sauce, chilli and grated ginger. I'm not sure if all Hainanese eat the same way as we do, but my dad sure loves to dip the chicken meat in dark soy sauce.

Now I can have my favourite chicken rice at Magenta, Publika.

The second dish recommended by my aunt is Tuna Steak topped with roasted sesame sauce.

You can request for it to be medium-cooked or well cooked but I prefer it to be medium-cooked. As you can see, the tuna steak is cooked and crispy on the outside but raw and succulent on the inside. Slurps~

Me and my parents trying their signature dishes.

For scone lovers, you wouldn't want to miss their scones here.
Cut the scone into half and spread the half with blueberry jam and cream cheese. I forgot to snap pictures of the coffee as I was too busy with the delicious food and all. Magenta coffee is one thing the customers should try and it goes well with scones.

Very cosy ambience.

Remember there was a time when we used to play paper dolls? Apparently Magenta has its own paper doll which you can dress her up with different style of clothes and handbags.

Tadaa! Which version do you like the most?

Ended the fulfilling meal with caramel milk pudding. Strongly recommended.

Cakes are also available at Magenta for tea-time lovers.

I must say that the dining experience here at Magenta is awesome and everyone should give it a try. It's located at ground floor, Publika, right next to Baskin Robbins.
