Rondaevoo Coffee Dining @ Ativo Plaza, Damansara

Randaevoo is the latest coffee dining place at Ativo Plaza, Bandar Sri Damansara. Hubby and I went to try it out on their grand opening day to see what this new coffee joint offers. We were immediately attracted by Rotiboy which they claimed is the hottest bun in town and one of their main selling products. Other than that, it looks like one of those Bangsar coffee shops selling cakes, sandwiches and coffee.

Chocolate cheese cake. I really love the combination of chocolate and cheese. It's like killing two birds with a stone by treating your taste buds to both of your favourite flavours at the same time.

So soft that once you lay your fork on the surface it immediately sinks in without any effort. Something about the bottom crust makes it stand out among the rest of the cheese cakes I have eaten. Not too sure what it is made of but I suspect apple and cinnamon which compliment the cheese cake surprisingly well.

 Classy interior.

 Hot green tea latte.

Iced green tea latte with red beans.

That's all for today! Was too lazy to snap pictures with my DSLR. Probably will do it next time when I hang out here.

I'm really attracted by their main menu which offers healthy main courses without flavourings, MSGs and preservatives. Some of the main courses even use organic products. Their slightly high pricing might make you think twice before ordering but I would like to try a few of them next time.

Hanwoori Korean BBQ @ Ampang Korean Town

Had Korean food for lunch with Hubby and Hubby's mom again! Once again, we were having a hard time choosing one out of the many Korean restaurants in Ampang but finally we ended up in Hanwoori Korean BBQ restaurant. Just like any other authentic Korean restaurant in Ampang, the restaurant was visited mostly by local Koreans. Overall, the food here is reasonably priced, with exceptional beef BBQ and memorable Kimchi cold noodle which I would definitely order again in the future. Thumbs up for Hanwoori and read further if you want to see my random newly-learnt Korean sentences coming out of nowhere.

Zender's Restaurant and Bar @ Publika

It took quite a while to actually get there due to its hidden location at the far corner of Block D5. Not to mention it is also at level G4 which is an unusual location for a restaurant at Publika. Before you reach Zender's, you will be passing by some printing cafe and Epson College. The question is why did we choose to dine at Zender's out of the many high profile restaurants offered by the reknown food paradise? Well, the reason was I had this Groupon voucher which offers a 2 person meal worth around RM150. Two mains can be selected from the given menu which includes grilled lamb shoulder, chicken sandwich, bolognese pasta, mediterranean rice and a few more which I could not remember. Soups, ice lemon tea  and dessert are complimentary.

The moment we reached the restaurant, the tables were mostly occupied mainly by young couples. A closer look told me that most of the customers here were having the same set menu offered by the Groupon voucher as well. While we sat waiting for our dishes to be served, more people came in flashing the printed coupons before getting seated. Clearly the reason behind the surge in number of people pouring in was mainly the attractive online deal.

 Ice lemon tea for beverage.

Hubby's grumpy face.

Luxurious looking cushioned chairs at the outdoor dining area.

Some sort of potato mushroom soup as appetizer.

Hubby's choice. Chicken sandwich. Just a simple dish which barely filled up Hubby's tummy.

My lamb shoulder chop with fries. The portion was okay for small eaters. Simple grilled lamb chop with acceptable quality for the price.

Lastly, brownies topped with ice cream.

Overall, the quality of the food is just average. Not quite the fancy meal you would expect at first. To be honest, the 2 person set menu is definitely not worth as much as RM150 as written on the voucher. Advice: try the ala carte menu for fair judgement of their food quality. Zender's appears to be more like a drinking place for drinkers and shisha lovers to gather. Hubby and I went to Magenta after this for another meal and I shall blog about it in my next post! =D
